Margarito Hernandez Garcia, 68, of Hereford, Texas passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021, in El Paso, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, October 22, 2021, at 11:00 AM at San Jose Catholic Church with Celebrant Nestor Lara officiating. Burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be on Thursday, October 21, 2021, from 4:00-8:00 PM and rosary will be at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Margarito was born on June 28, 1953, in San Antonio de Belen, Mexico to Cecillo Hernandez Muro and Pascuala Garcia. He has been a resident of Hereford for 24 years. Margarito did mechanic work for a few years and later worked in the construction industry for more than 10 years. He retired at the age of 60, due to his health. He attended San Jose Catholic Church of Hereford, Texas. Margarito enjoyed walking outdoors and picking up recycled cans, family gatherings, gardening, planting and most of all cooking. He was a great cook and some of his specialties were liver and onions, cactus, chicharones with chili verde and buñuelos. He loved his family dearly and will be missed by many.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Josefina V. Hernandez of Hereford, Texas, his children, Saul Hernandez and his wife Myreya of El Paso, Texas, Martha Morales and her husband Fernando of Juarez, Mexico, Maria Almaraz and her husband Lino of Hereford, Texas, and Yadira Hernandez of Juarez, Mexico; 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; his siblings, Miguel Hernandez, Julian Hernandez and Juventino Hernandez and his wife Gloria all of Juarez, Mexico.

Margarito is joining his parents, his son, Javier Hernandez, a grandson, Reymond Almaraz, his 2 sisters, Chila and Abundia Hernandez, son-in-law, Heriberto Hernandez and two sisters-in-law, Francisca and Guadalupe Hernandez in heaven.
