Margarita "Mague" Martinez, 54, of Hereford, Texas passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021, in Lubbock, Texas. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at 3:00 P.M. at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Noe Diaz officiating. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be on Thursday beginning at 12:00 P.M. until time of service.

Margarita was born on January 30, 1967, in Dimmitt, Texas to Victor and Maria (Salazar) Martinez. Margarita is a lifelong resident of Hereford, Texas, and a member of San Jose Catholic Church. Margarita took great pride in being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She later began waitressing at Chihuahua's restaurant in Hereford. Margarita loved cooking, baking, and keeping her recipe's a secret. She was famous for her mexican spaghetti, snowball soup, menudo, tamales, enchiladas, and many more delicious foods. She enjoyed watching Novelas, spending time on Facebook, bargain shopping, parties with co-workers, and trips to the store with family for goodies. Margarita was very kindhearted, helping others even in her need. She loved her family and her nieces and great nieces as her own, spoiling them often.  Margarita will be dearly missed.

Those left to cherish her memories are mother Maria Martinez of Hereford, Texas, son Jesus Aguilar of Hereford, Texas, daughter Guadalupe Aguilar of Amarillo, Texas, and son Francisco Antonio Aguilar Jr. of Hereford, Texas, siblings Greg Martinez, Mary Lou Garcia, Irene Martinez, and Robert Martinez all of Hereford, Texas, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and special friend Jeneva Barrientez.

She is preceded in death by father Victor Martinez and two brothers Willie Martinez and Victor Martinez, Jr.
