Marcella Hoffman, 96, of Hereford, Texas passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024, in Hereford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hereford with Father Grant Spinhirne officiating, burial will follow at Rest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the professional direction of Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. A Visitation will be on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home from 3:00-5:30 P.M. The Rosary will take place at St. Anthony's School in the Antonian Room at 6:00 P.M.

Marcella was born on a farm near Dawn on January 24, 1928, to Carl and Emma (Hartman) Luke. She graduated from Canyon High School Class of 1946 and then attended college at Our Lady Victory in Ft. Worth, Texas. Marcella married Anthony "Tony" Hoffman on July 28, 1948, in Hereford at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Marcella was a faithful member of St. Anthony's and a CCD teacher. She was also a member of the North Hereford Home Demonstration Club with 4-H for 50 years and the Hereford Bridge Club. She served her community well as a substitute teacher, election judge, and a volunteer with the Red Cross, Kings Manor, Good Shepherd Thrift Shop, and the Hereford Food Pantry.

Marcella enjoyed playing bridge, liked to travel, and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her son Stephen Hoffman and wife Patsy of Hereford, Texas, daughters Mary Ann Houle and husband Donnie of Kingwood, Texas and Jane Hoffman and husband Salah Mahmoud of Kingwood, Texas; five grandchildren, Annie Frost and husband Ned, Harrison Hoffman and wife Amy, Gary Houle and wife Ayumi, Brent Houle and wife Nicole, and Anthony Mahmoud; and eight great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Emma Luke, husband Anthony "Tony" Hoffman, and three sisters, Evelyn Clements, Leona Paetzold, and Mildred Betzen.
