Manuela "Melly" Castillo, 54, formerly of Hereford, Texas, entered the gates to her heavenly home on Thursday, September 4, 2025, in Amarillo, Texas. Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel with her sister, Melissa Morales officiating. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. Viewing will be held on Tuesday September 9, 2025, from 2:00-8:00 PM with a prayer service at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Melly was born on August 29, 1971, in Hereford, Texas, to Roberto and Guadalupe (Ozuna) Castillo. Melly enjoyed traveling to many different places, and several different states. She was considered "the traveler." Her favorite place was North Dakota; she wanted to someday go to Alaska, but the Lord had bigger plans for her. She was a great daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She always put everyone's needs before her own and was there to lend a helping hand when needed. Melly loved cars, especially Mustangs, she enjoyed cooking and was the best housecleaner. She was the person who could light up a room when she entered it and could put a smile on anyone's face. She lived her life to the fullest, loving her children, grandchildren and family. The wonderful, fun memories she leaves behind will be cherished by her children and family. Melly's presence, laughter and generous spirit will be missed by all her love her.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Ralene Ramos, Naveli Flores, Malik Terrell and Kadija Terrell all of Hereford, Texas, Devani P., Noe P, Jr., and Bonifacio P.; her five grandchildren, Christopher, Robert, Jaxson, Elijah and Charles; her father, Roberto Castillo of Hereford; her siblings, Raquel B., Melissa Morales and her husband Richard, Roberto Castillo, Jr. and his wife Yvette, Eileen Lopez and her husband Jesus, Jose Castillo, Brenda Castillo and her husband Luis Sanchez, and Chris Castillo all of Hereford, Texas, and several nieces and nephews.

Melly is preceded in death by her mother, and her sister, Rebecca Castillo.
