Manuel G. Mendoza, Sr. 84, of Hereford passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018 in Hereford.

Manuel was born April 11, 1934 in Porvenir, Texas to Narciso and Librada (Galindo) Mendoza. Manuel has been a resident of Hereford since 1968. He married the love of his life, Concha Lucio, on July 12, 1958 in Hereford. Manuel was a truck driver and a farm laborer most of his life. Manuel was a member of La Iglesia de San Jose Catholic Church of Hereford. He loved to sing and dance, but he especially loved to have family and friend gatherings.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Concha Mendoza of Hereford, two daughters, Maria Leyva and her husband Jesus of Friona, Esther Zuniga and her husband Rafael of San Marcos; five sons, Fred Mendoza and his wife Susie, Ricky Mendoza, Robert Mendoza and his wife Michelle all of Amarillo, Manuel Mendoza, Jr. of San Antonio and Joe Mendoza and his wife Connie of Hereford. Two brothers, Angel Mendoza, Sr. and Domingo Mendoza both of Morton and a sister, Maria Montez of Morton.

Eighteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.

Manuel is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Delma Mendoza, five brothers and one sister.
