Manuel L. Lozoya, 91, of Hereford, Texas passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 in Amarillo, Texas.  Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, January 22, 2021 at 2:00 PM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church of Hereford, Texas with Father Ramon Molina officiating, burial will follow at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 3:00-8:00 PM with Rosary being recited at 6:30 PM at the funeral home.  We ask that you please wear a mask provided by you if attending the viewing, rosary, or mass. Your health and safety matter to us.

Manuel was born on March 18, 1929 to Bartolo and Tirza (Lopez) Lozoya in Donie, Texas. He married Jane Juanita Chavez on October 18, 1948 in Lubbock, Texas. Manuel has been a resident of Hereford since 1963 and worked as a farmer all his life. He worked for Charles Schlabs farms for 33 ½ years.  He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Sacred Heart of Jesus and De Colores. He enjoyed working, going to Amarillo with his wife, and traveling to see family. Manuel absolutely loved his family and grandchildren and enjoyed time spent visiting. He would go above and beyond for his children even if it meant leaving him with nothing. Manual will be dearly missed.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Jane Juanita Lozoya, two sons John Lozoya and Jose Luis Lozoya and his wife Eva, daughter-in-law Rose Lozoya all of Hereford, TX, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Manuel has joined his parents, son Joe Manuel Lozoya, daughter-in-law Christina Lozoya, granddaughter Kristie Lozoya, four brothers Bartolo Lozoya II, Isidro Lozoya, Benito Lozoya, Jose Luis Lozoya, and five sisters Juanita Rodriguez, Margarita Oliva, Tirza Lara, Maria Santiago, and Ernestina Rodriguez in heaven.
