Manuel S. Garcia, 65, of Hereford, Texas was called home by his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 in Hereford. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Hereford Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Mace Saenz officiating, burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will begin Friday at 10:00 AM- 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday evening from 6:00-8:00PM at the funeral home.

Manuel has been a resident of Hereford since 1970. He married Irene Longoria on October 8, 2002. Manuel was a humble Christian man who loved the Lord, his family and everyone around him. Manuel loved to spread the Lord's word and to give his testimony on how the Lord had changed his life. He was a dedicated hard worker who worked for MK Middleton, Inc for 8 years and Caviness Beef Packers for 15 years. He loved to help people and was always there when you needed him. His pride and joy were his grandchildren who he loved to spoil. He enjoyed watching them dance and play soccer. He liked to watch the Minnesota Vikings; he enjoyed fishing; he loved to make hot sauce and give it away to all his friends and family and he loved family gatherings and cookouts. He will be missed by many.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Irene Garcia of Hereford; four daughters April Rodriguez and her husband Jesus of Borger, Texas, Amy Martinez and her husband Alejandro and Ruby Garcia all of Weatherford, Texas and Melissa Salinas and her husband Caesar of Albuquerque, New Mexico; five step-children Melissa Moya and Melinda Escoto both of Hereford, Texas, Manuel Longoria and Martha Longoria both of Littlefield, Texas, and Richard Twa of Dimmitt, Texas; three brothers Jose Garcia and his wife Rosa, Albino Garcia, Sr. and his wife Janie and Fructuoso Garcia, Jr. and his wife Estella all of Hereford, Texas; four sisters Maria Luisa Garcia of Hereford, Texas, Maria Perez of Progresso, Texas, Guadalupe Aldape and her husband Juan and Beatrice Garcia all of Alvin, Texas; eleven grandchildren. Special friends Kim Middleton, April Escamilla and her boys, Brayden and Joshua Escamilla

Manuel is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Edmundo, Fidel and Guillermo Garcia and a very special friend Max Middleton.
