Manuel Galvan, 71, of Hereford passed away Wednesday in Tennessee Colony, Texas. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:00 PM at the Hereford Church of the Nazarene with Pastor's Romero and Ernestina Ortiz officiating, burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00AM to 5:00PM.

Manuel was born September 18, 1946 in Geronimo, Texas to Santos and Francisca (Landin) Galvan. Manuel has been a resident of Hereford the majority of his life. He married Maria Concepcion in 1982 in Hereford. Manuel enjoyed autobody work, painting cars and anything having to do with mechanical work and he enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Manuel was a very loving husband, father and grandfather.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Maria Galvan of Hereford, two daughters, Margie Galvan of Hereford and Julia Vargas of Fort Collins, CO. and one son, Manuel Galvan, Jr. of Fort Collins, CO., three brothers, Santos Galvan of Hereford, Frank Galvan of Levelland, Texas and Raymond Galvan of Houston and three sisters, Mary Galvan and Francis Villarreal both of Amarillo and Rosa Townsend of Galveston, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Manuel is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Julia Galvan, a sister, Juana Galvan and two brothers, Isiah Galvan and Ezekiel Galvan.
