Manuel Beavers, 81, of Hereford passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017 in Hereford. Memorial services to be scheduled at a later date. Cremation services are being handled by Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.

Manuel was born July 22, 1936 in Marlow, Oklahoma to Walt and Aline (Simpson) Beavers. Manuel moved from Marlow, Oklahoma to Deaf Smith County in 1942. He was raised in the Dawn Community. He married the love of his life Sandra "Sandy" Moore Beavers on August 2, 1958 in Dawn, Texas. Manuel and Sandy, shortly thereafter moved to Friona, Texas in 1965, making Friona their home for 20 years, they moved back to Hereford in 1985. Manuel was a farmer all his life. He was a lifelong member of the Dawn Baptist Church. He enjoyed taking care of his horses, cattle and his two dogs, he never met a stranger and when he did meet you he would ask your favorite color, so he could make you his famous "Pop-Top" Key Chains. He enjoyed photography, making things with his hands, he was very crafty, he enjoyed reading Texas History, Oklahoma History; watching John Wayne and westerns. Manuel loved all people, but mostly his family. He was known for his loving ways, his patience and for being the greatest husband, daddy, granddad and great granddad.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Sandra "Sandy" Beavers of Hereford, two sons, Brett Beavers and Chad Beavers both of Hereford and a daughter, Kim Neugebauer and her husband Larry of Dumas; six grandchildren, Brandon, Jared and Mikaila Beavers, Shawn, Adam and Jessica Neugebauer; seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Claudine May of Lawton, OK., and Waltine Tucek of Canyon and numerous nephews and nieces.

Manuel is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter-in-law, Christy E. Beavers.
