Majin Garza, 80, of Hereford, Texas passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, in Hereford. A Family and Friend Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home with a Prayer Service beginning at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Cremation Services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford.

Majin was born on August 19, 1943, in Los Fresnos, Texas to Pedro and Delores Garza. He was raised in Elsa, Texas, and later made his home in Hereford for the last 60-plus years. He married Barbara Ann "Didie" Fajardo on September 3, 1963. They were married for 27 years and were blessed with three children. Majin enjoyed working and through the years he worked as a welder, car salesman, manager of the Hereford Country Club, Great American Bar, Dalhart Country Club, and as an elevator operator and manager at Hereford Grain until his retirement. Majin married Emma Garza in 2004, and they shared many wonderful years until her passing in 2019.

Majin was business-oriented, a devout catholic, forgiving, and generous. He would open his door to anyone who needed a place to stay, he had lots of good friends and was always giving life advice. Majin loved to watch and follow all sports; he was a huge Dallas Cowboys and Hereford High School Sports Fan. He enjoyed his morning 3–4-mile run, watching westerns, dancing, listening to Spanish and Tejano music, fishing, camping, and hunting.

Those left to carry on his legacy are children, Majin Garza, Jr. and wife Priscilla, Debbie Garcia, and Brenda Garza and husband Jessie Diaz all of Amarillo, Texas; stepchildren, Viola Maldonado of Hereford, Ruben Garza of Ulysses, Kansas, Rita Garza and husband Nestor Alejandre of Corpus Christi, Texas, Linda Guerrero of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Angie Ross of Oklahoma; first wife Barbara Ann "Didie" Fajardo of Amarillo, Texas; twenty grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife Emma Garza, stepdaughter Minerva Castro, five brothers, and one sister.
