Lydia "Rosalinda" Vigil, 61, of Hereford, Texas passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021, in Hereford. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Jesus Guerrero officiating. Burial to follow at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery in Hereford. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.  A viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, from 1:00-8:00 P.M. with rosary beginning at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Lydia was born on August 28, 1959, in Abilene, Texas to Guadalupe Sr. and Lydia (Galves) Ortiz. She is a longtime resident of Hereford, Texas. Lydia worked as a homemaker, she loved to cook, sing, and dance. She enjoyed cookouts with her family, knitting, and was a Dallas Cowboys fan. Lydia was the runner up for the 1974 La Reyna at the San Jose Fiesta and a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

Those left to cherish her memories are her spouse, Dorato Diaz of Hereford, Texas; children, Jennifer Vigil of Hereford, Texas, Baltamore Vigil and companion Sara Alonso of Dallas, Texas, and Amanda Vigil and companion Mauricio Martinez of Hereford, Texas; grandchildren, Mariah Rodriguez, Matthew Mendoza, Omar Lopez, Monique Lopez, Jaydan Vigil, Ivan Saucedo, and Emilio Vigil; eleven great-grandchildren; brothers, Guadalupe Jr. Ortiz of Hereford, Texas, Robert Ortiz and his wife Ruby of San Antonio, Texas, David Ortiz of Canyon, Texas, and Jesse Ortiz of Hereford, Texas; sisters, Romelia Ortiz, Becky Ortiz, Rosario Reyna and her husband Eddy, and Ofelia Zamora and her husband George all of Hereford, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews

She is preceded in death by her dad Guadalupe Ortiz, Sr.
