L.V. Watts, 86, lifelong resident of Hereford, Texas passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020 in Hereford. Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, November 13, 2020 at the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM with Dennis Latham officiating, burial to follow at Rest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Hereford. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be Thursday from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home. A mask is required to be worn and provided by you at both the viewing and the funeral service. Your safety and health matter to us.

L.V. was born July 19, 1934 in Hereford, Texas to Lawrence and Fannie (Killough) Watts. L.V. enlisted in the United States Army in December 1956-May 1960. His rank was an SP5, a Senior Electrical Engineer. He was awarded Citation of Service Above and Beyond Call of Duty, for helping launch the battalion missiles. L.V. was a loan officer in Abilene, Texas at First National Bank for 9 years, moving back to Hereford to work as a loan officer at First National Bank for 9 years. He also worked at Hereford Hospital in the EMS Department for 12 years and then became the Director of EMS for 5 years. He married Patricia (Patsy) Williams on April 17, 1995. L.V. was employed at Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt for many years and has worked in the funeral industry for over 12 years. L.V. loved bowling, watching NFL Football and his greatest passion was playing golf. He was a 32 ^nd Degree Mason and was a past member of Toastmasters. L.V. was a charmer, jokester, very charismatic and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Patsy Watts of Hereford, his children, Jettie Floyd and her husband Curtis of Amarillo, Larry Watts and his wife Charlotte of Canyon, Cherene Glidewell and her husband Steve of Amarillo and his step-daughter, Brandie Webb of Brooklyn, NY., 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and numerous dear friends.

L.V. is joining his parents, two brothers, Verdon and Glenn Watts and his sister, Dorothy Ward in heaven.
