Luz Elena De Macías, de 80 años, de Hereford, Texas, falleció el miércoles 29 de enero de 2025, rodeada de su amorosa familia en Hereford. Se llevará a cabo una Misa Conmemorativa el sábado 1 de febrero de 2025 a las 10:00 a.m. en la Iglesia Católica de San José con el celebrante David Contreras oficiando. Los arreglos y los servicios de cremación han sido confiados a la funeraria Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home de Hereford, Texas.

Luz nació el 9 de octubre de 1944 en Tonachic, Chihuahua, México, hija de Cruz y Dolores (Chacón) Chávez. A Luz le gustaba escuchar música de alabanza y adoración, rezar el rosario, tejer y cocinar. Luz tenía un corazón servicial y siempre estaba dispuesta a ayudar a los necesitados; Deja atrás su legado de siempre sonríele a la vida. Su verdadera pasión y amor era su familia, pasar tiempo de calidad con ellos. La presencia de Luz, con su corazón cariñoso y su hermosa sonrisa serán extrañados por todos sus seres queridos.

Los que quedan para recordar y atesorar sus recuerdos son sus hijos, Armida Holguín y su esposo Alfonso, Juan Carlos Macías y su esposa Patricia, todos de Phoenix, Arizona, René Macías y su esposa Manuela, Yolanda Chávez y su esposo Pablo todos de Chihuahua, México, Víctor Macías y su esposa Brenda y Marisela Cervantes y su esposo Sergio todos de Hereford, Texas; 18 nietos y 23 bisnietos, y su hermana, Isabel Chávez de Chihuahua, México.

Luz Elena De Macias, 80, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family in Hereford. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM at San Jose Catholic Church with Celebrant David Contreras officiating. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.

Luz was born on October 9, 1944, in Tonachic, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Cruz and Dolores (Chacon) Chavez. Luz enjoyed listening to praise and worship music, praying the rosary, knitting and baking. Luz had a servant's heart and was always ready to help those in time of need; she leaves behind her legacy of never being angry or mad at anyone. Her true passion and love were her family, spending quality time with them, especially her grandchildren. Luz's presence, her caring heart and beautiful smile will be missed by all her loved her.

Those left to remember and cherish her memories are her children, Armida Holguin and her husband Alfonso, Juan Carlos Macias and his wife Patricia all of Phoenix, Arizona, Rene Macias and his wife Manuela, Yolanda Chavez and her husband Pablo all of Chihuahua, Mexico, Victor Macias and his wife Brenda and Marisela Cervantes and her husband Sergio all of Hereford, Texas; 18 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren, and her sister, Isabel Chavez of Mexico.
