Luz Elena Baca-Solis, hija de Regino Solis y Eduarda Olivas Solis, nació el 21 de noviembre de 1950 en Chihuahua, México. Ella dejó esta vida el 11 de julio de 2026 en Amarillo, Texas, a los setenta y cinco años.

El servicio de Celebración de la Vida se celebrará el miércoles 15 de julio de 2026 a la 13:00 horas en la Iglesia Calvary Family, con el pastor Rubén Coronado oficiando. Luz residió en Hereford, Texas, durante 28 años, donde crió a sus hijos y cuidó de su hogar. Se casó con Jesús Baca en abril de 1969 en México.

Le gustaba ir de compras, limpiar, ver novelas y cuidar sus plantas. Sobre todo, era una mujer de fe en Cristo. Luz le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia y nietos, viendo a "Master Chef" mientras preparaba tamales, tortillas y burritos para sus nietos.

Luz deja en vida a su marido, Jesús Baca de Hereford; tres hijos, Miguel Ángel Baca de México, Jesús Manuel Baca y su esposa Mireya de Hereford, y Edward Baca y su esposa Rocío de Hereford; su hija, Luz Elena Baca, de Dallas; sus hermanos, Reymundo Solis de México, Jesús Solis de Luisiana, Manuel Solís de Nuevo México, Yolanda Armendariz de México, Armida Solis de México, Nora Solis de México y Blanca Miranda de Hereford; y seis nietos: Angel Baca, Miguel Baca, Anahi Baca, Aaron Baca, Alfonzo Baca, Ana Beth Baca y Judith Hernández.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres; su hermano, Javier Solís; y su hermana, Olga Solis.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Calvary Family Church, with Pastor Ruben Coronado officiating. Burial will follow at West Park Cemetery under the care of Mendez & Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home, with a Prayer Service beginning at 6:00 PM.

Luz was a resident of Hereford, Texas, for 28 years, where she raised her children and cared for her home. She married Jesus Baca in April 1969 in Mexico.

She enjoyed shopping, cleaning, watching novelas, caring for her plants and above all she was a woman of faith in Christ. Most of all, Luz loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, often watching "Master Chef" preparing tamales, tortillas, and burritos for her grandchildren.

Luz is survived by her husband, Jesus Baca of Hereford; three sons, Miguel Angel Baca of Mexico, Jesus Manuel Baca and wife Mireya of Hereford, and Edward Baca and wife Rocio of Hereford; her daughter, Luz Elena Baca of Dallas; her siblings, Reymundo Solis of Mexico, Jesus Solis of Louisiana, Manuel Solis of New Mexico, Yolanda Armendariz of Mexico, Armida Solis of Mexico, Nora Marquez of  New Mexico, and Blanca Miranda of Hereford; and six grandchildren, Angel Baca, Miguel Baca, Anahi Baca, Aaron Baca, Judith Hernandez,  Alfonzo Baca, and Ana Beth Baca.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Javier Solis; and her sister, Olga Solis.
