Guadalupe "Lupe" Ozuna, 91, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022, in Hereford. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery with Celebrant Ramon Molina. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. A viewing will be on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, from 4:00 -8:00 P.M. with a Rosary beginning at 6:00 P.M.

Guadalupe "Lupe" (Guerra) Ozuna was born in San Nicholas, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, on March 15, 1931, to Gregorio and Teresa Guerra. Lupe married Gustavo Ozuna. She moved to Hereford in the 1950s and worked many years as a farm laborer, but her most important job was taking care of her home and family. Lupe enjoyed listening to Spanish music, playing bingo, caring for her cats, making tamales, and playing lotería with her family. She loved gardening, and she had the most beautiful rose bushes. Lupe also enjoyed cooking for the family, especially the grandchildren, who enjoyed her, buttered tortillas, sweet Kool-Aid, and a sweet treat or candy from the always-full cookie jars. She loved visiting family members and always encouraged her family to look after one another and always love each other.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Yolanda Ozuna and her boyfriend Vince Vigil of Hereford, Texas, Myrtala Ozuna and her husband Eustacio "Tacho" Celaya of Hereford, Texas, and Leticia Ozuna and her fiancé Adan Tijerina of Odessa, Texas; twelve grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and three great -great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Gregorio and Teresa Guerra; her husband, Gustavo Ozuna; a son, Cesar Mata; three brothers; and a sister.
