Luis Gabriel Villarreal, 29, of Hereford passed away Monday, October 15, 2018 in Durango, Mexico. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, October 20, 2018 at La Iglesia de San Jose Catholic at 10:30 AM with Rev. Ramon Molina Mora as celebrant. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. Rosary will be Friday evening at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Luis was born November 12, 1988 in Durango, Mexico to Jose Luis and Sylvia (Lopez) Villarreal. Luis has been a resident of Hereford most of his life. At the age of 14 his first job was at Baldo's Restaurant, the owners of Baldo's gave him an opportunity to work, he proved to himself and to them that hard work is always rewarded; and he later was employed by Caviness Meat Packers and several other places of employment. Luis enjoyed life to the fullest, he enjoyed partying, drinking, socializing and being the life of the party. He was a ray of sunshine to his family and friends, he was their protector and if he needed to fight for them he would. He was a hard-working man and was always there for anyone who should need help. Luis loved his wife, his parents his sisters, his nieces and nephews, but his world and his everything was his son, Isamel.

Those left to cherish his memories are his parents, Jose Luis and Sylvia Villarreal of Hereford; his wife Jessica Cabrales of Mexico; a son Isamel Villarreal of Mexico; his two sisters Faviola Ramos and her husband Alvaro of Clovis, NM. and Marisol Garcia of Hereford; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Luis is preceded in death by his grandparents, two sisters Monica and Maritsa Villarreal; uncles and a brother-in-law Daniel Garcia.
