Luis Fernando Reyes, 37 of Hereford passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017 in Amarillo. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 7, 2017 at 3:00PM at La Iglesia de San Jose in Hereford, Texas with Rev. Hector Madrigal as celebrant. Arrangements are being handled by Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. Rosary and vigil will be Thursday evening at 7:00PM.

Luis was born August 2, 1979 in Mexico to Juan and Rosenda (Fierro) Reyes. Luis has been a resident of Hereford since the age of sixteen. He has worked the majority of his adult life as a cowboy in several surrounding feed yards. Luis enjoyed working on his vehicles, listening to music, dancing, helping others, enjoying life and having a good time but above all these his greatest love was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Vanessa Duran of Hereford, his children, Uylissa, Fernando and Juan Carlos Reyes all of Hereford. His parents, Juan Reyes and Rosenda Fierro Reyes both of Mexico, his in-laws, Carlos and Refugia Duran of Hereford; 4 brothers, Agapito Reyes and his wife Karen, Hector Reyes and his wife Monica all of Canyon, Jaime Reyes and his wife Graciela of Hereford and Julio Reyes and his wife Rosa of Perryton; 4 sisters, San Juana Duran and her husband Ramon, Chio Olgin and her husband Jose and Lala Flores and her husband Beto all of Mexico; Elva Carnero and her husband Hugo and Estolia Carrera and her husband Ralph all of Amarillo.
