Luis Astorga, 79, of Hereford, Texas passed away Monday, November 23, 2020 in Hereford, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 5, 2020 at San Jose Catholic Church at 10:00 AM with Celebrant Nestor Lara officiating. Viewing will begin on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM with rosary at 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Everyone attending the funeral service, the viewing and the rosary must wear a mask provided by you. Your safety and health matter to us.

Luis was born June 10, 1941 in Durango, Mexico to Emeterio and Matilda (Diaz) Astorga. Luis has been a resident of Hereford, Texas for 11 years. He owned and operated his own landscaping business here in Hereford. He and his wife, Guadalupe have been married for 58 years.  Luis enjoyed watching the old black and white movies, music, his job and going to breakfast with just himself and his wife and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Guadalupe Salazar of Hereford, TX., his children, Manuela Astorga of California, Ramon Astorga of Durango, Mexico, Sergio Astorga of California, Hector Luis Astorga of Zacatecas, Mexico, Patricia Astorga of Hereford, TX., a sister, Teresa Astorga of Queretaro, Mexico; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Luis is joining his parents, a brother Francisco Astorga, a sister Maria de los Angeles and a great grandchild, Carlos Manuel Gonzalez in heaven.
