Linda "Grandma" "Momchew" Minchew, 83, of Hereford, Texas passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025, in Hereford. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at the Central Church of Christ in Hereford with Pastor Stephen Minchew officiating. Arrangements and Cremation Services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford.

Linda was born March 8, 1942, in Crosbyton, Texas, to Oliver and Earlene (Warren) Waller. Linda graduated from Dimmitt High School in 1960. She met the love of her life and eventually her soulmate, Charles Minchew in 1960, they later were married on April 2, 1961, in Dimmitt. They later moved to Hereford, Texas, in 1968, until 2001, making a move to Colorado for a short 3 years. In 2004, they moved back to Hereford, making Hereford their permanent residence.

Linda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had many hobbies; she loved to bake, she baked many birthday, wedding and wonderful occasion cakes for the community; she and Charles enjoyed camping, especially when their grandchildren would join them, most of their camping trips took place in New Mexico or Colorado. Linda also was fond of crocheting, sewing and painting. She was a longtime member of the Central Church of Christ and was a founding member of the Hereford Pilot Club, where she held every position as an officer and was also a previous District Lieutenant Governor for Pilot Club.

Linda's sweet, gentle presence, her beautiful smile and tender heart will be missed by all her love her.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Charles Minchew of Hereford, Texas; sons, Kirk Minchew of Lubbock, Texas and Kyle Minchew and his wife Dana of Amarillo, Texas; daughter, Rosie Davis and husband Jake of Hereford, Texas; three grandchildren, Shelby Huffman and her husband Amos, Tate Minchew and his wife Monica, and Stephen Minchew and his wife Lacy; four great-grandchildren, Liam, Deacon, Walker, and James Minchew; and brothers, Troy Waller of Amarillo, Texas, Butch Waller of Hart, Texas, John Kropp and his wife Beverly of Hereford, Texas, and David Waller.

She is preceded in death by her parents Oliver and Earlene Waller, sister Reba Waller, and brother Oliver Waller.
