Lillian M. Schreck, 95, of Hereford, Texas passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2019 in Hereford. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 2:00 PM at King's Manor Methodist Retirement Center in the Lamar Room, with Pastor Danny Mize and Dennis Latham officiating. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.

Lillian was born July 9, 1924 in Newlin, Texas to Robert Oscar and Sally Myrtle (Morrison) Nelson. Lillian married Arthur D. Schreck, Jr. on June 30, 1945, together they had three children, Sandra, Linda and Arthur III.

In 1960, the family moved to Dimmitt to be near Lillian's mother and siblings. For the next 48 years, the Schrecks pursued many business ventures, primarily in the food service industry, owning Dairy Queens in Dimmitt and Tulia as well as other retail businesses.

Lillian was a past member of the First United Methodist Church in Dimmitt for several years and a member of the Fellowship of Believers in Hereford. She was the caretaker of all her family. Lillian enjoyed crocheting, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, solitaire and reading the "Want" ads in the paper. She had such a cute sense of humor.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two children Sandra Schreck of Tulsa, OK., and Linda Ditto and her husband Mike of Dallas, TX. a daughter-in-law Jacqueline Silva-Schreck of Nappa, CA., six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren, a special niece and nephew Shirley and Rex Easterwood of Hereford, TX., and a great niece Cynthia Easterwood and a host of many other nieces and nephews.

Lillian is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur D. Schreck, Jr., a son A.D. Schreck III, a granddaughter Saundra Bell, two sisters and five brothers.
