Lazaro Jose Vallejo, 65, of Hereford passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019 in Hereford. Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday at 10:00 AM with Pastor Lorenzo Martinez officiating at the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation services are being entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. Family and friend visitation will be Friday from 6:00-8:00PM at the funeral home.

Lazaro was born October 8, 1953 in Crystal City, Texas to Pasqual and Sara (Palacios) Vallejo. Lazaro has been a resident of Hereford most his life. He was employed by the Hereford Independent School District as maintenance supervisor for 25 years. Lazaro enjoyed fishing, hunting and in his younger days he enjoyed and played baseball and broke mustangs and enjoyed rodeoing, but his greatest love and joy was spending time with his family. Lazaro was a simple man.

Those left to cherish his memories are his children Jennifer Bowerman and her husband James; Lina Vallejo; Lazaro Jose Vallejo III; Jaydon Garcia; Malaria Dominguez and Andrew Dominguez all of Hereford; his mother Sara Vallejo of College Station; his granddaughter Emily Virginia Vallejo of Hereford; two sisters Sandy Rudd of College Station and Sara Vallejo of Hereford.

Lazaro is preceded in death by his wife Virginia Vallejo, his dad Pasqual Vallejo and a brother Rudy Vallejo.
