L aura Jo Simnacher, 51, of Hereford, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 18th, 2025, in Amarillo, Texas.

Laura was born on September 21st, 1973, in Midwest City, Oklahoma, to Loren Pilgrim and Jo Ann Compton. She married Keith Simnacher in June of 1998 in Moore, Oklahoma, and shortly after, the couple moved to Hereford, Texas. Together they raised two children, Hailey (31) and Bryce (26).

Laura worked for five years as a unit clerk at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo and 17 years at Tierra Blanca Cattle Feeders in Hereford.

She enjoyed watching the Food Network, Hallmark movies, fishing, and cheering on her kids and grandkids in their sporting events. As a young girl, Laura loved spending time on the farm with her grandparents and cousins in Rush Springs Oklahoma. She was also a beloved member of The Sunshine Kids, a support group for children with cancer, where she created countless memories during the most challenging times of her life.

Laura is survived by her mother, Jo Ann Compton, and stepfather, Randy Compton of Moore, Oklahoma; her husband, Keith Simnacher of Hereford; her children, Hailey and husband Kadin Keese of Hereford, and Bryce of Muskegon, Michigan; and two grandchildren, Timothy (10) and Peyton (9), her siblings: Michelle Wilhoit and husband Nathan of Harrah, Oklahoma; William Compton and wife Amber of Moore, Oklahoma; Laura Drewelow and husband Nathan of Oskaloosa, Kansas; and Dawn Jarnagin of Guthrie, Oklahoma. She leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.

Laura is preceded in death by her father, Lauren Pilgrim, and her uncle, Gary Cotten.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 25th, 2025, at 10:30 AM at First Baptist Church of Hereford with Pastor Nathan Adams officiating. A graveside service will follow in Moore, Oklahoma, at a later date with family and close friends.
