Katie Kendall, 93, a lifelong resident of Hereford passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 in Hereford. Graveside services will be Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM at West Park Cemetery of Hereford and a Memorial Service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 16, 2019 at King's Manor Methodist Retirement in the Lamar Room with Pastor Dennis Latham and grandson Nick Kendall officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. Family and friend visitation will be Friday, March 15, 2019 evening at the funeral home from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.

Katie was born May 16, 1925 in Los Angeles, CA. to Harry and Cora (Gehres) Danforth. Katie has been a resident of Hereford since six years of age. She married Billy E. Kendall on April 10, 1944 in Long Beach, CA. Katie was a member of Beta Sigma Fi, numerous Bridge Clubs, she was a Pink Lady at the Hereford Regional Medical Center and she attended First Baptist Church of Hereford. Katie loved and was an avid bridge player, she enjoyed reading, cooking and traveling, but above all these hobbies, Katie loved her family and friends dearly.

Those left to cherish her memories are her son Nelson Kendall and his wife Barbara of Hereford; two grandsons Nick Kendall and his wife Leslie of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Jay Kendall and his wife Crystal of Amarillo; four great grandchildren Brittany and Tré Kendall of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Mikhyla and Camdon Kendall of Amarillo.

Katie is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Cora Danforth, her husband Billy E. Kendall, a daughter Luann Kendall and two sisters Annie Kendall and Hellen Patton.
