Kaeli Yocum-Ashley, 30, of Hereford, Texas attained the highest honor as she gained her angel wings and now sits with our Lord in Heaven on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in Clovis, New Mexico.  Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 2:00PM in the Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Billy Joe Wall officiating.  Burial will follow in West Park Cemetery under the direct care of Mendez & Mullins Family Funeral Home.

The family was blessed on December 20, 1988 when Kaeli Meshel Yocum-Ashley made her appearance into this world.  She was a beautiful precious gift for her parents John and Vicki (Gray) Yocum.  As a young girl, Kaeli loved getting dressed up in her pretty little frilly dresses and competing in pageants.  Kaeli spent her life in Hereford, graduating from Hereford High School in 2007.  While in school, Kaeli was a cheerleader and star golf player of the Hereford team in a time when not many girls played the sport.  This was due to her and her dad's shared passion for the sport of golf.  She was one of those special people who saw the good in others, always there for her friends with advice or just a big hug.  She loved her family above all else and especially her two beautiful children, Xavier II (Zay) and CoraLynn.  Even in the face of adversity, Kaeli always held strong to her faith and relationship with Jesus Christ.

Left to honor and cherish her memory are her parents, John and Vicki (Gray) Yocum of Hereford, children, Xavier II (Zay) and CoraLynn Ashley of Hereford, along with their father, Xavier Ashley of Amarillo, sister, Merrilee Yocum of Amarillo, her very special sissy, Robin Williams of Hereford, aunts and uncles, Billie Ann and Leroy Willson of Amarillo and Marcy and Homer Yocum, along with several cousins and many many friends.

There to take her hand as she reached Heavens gates were her maternal grandparents, Jack and Trudie (Trimble) Gray, paternal grandparents, Almus and Mabel Yocum, Aunt Jackie, Uncle Sam and many others that were gone to soon.

Kaeli Meshel will always be remembered as the brave, strong, loving ray of sunshine that blessed this family's lives for 30 years.  You are free to soar high our beautiful Kaeli…this is not goodbye…simply see you later.
