Julieta Galan, 80, of Hereford, Texas passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2020 in Hereford. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at San Jose Catholic Church at 2:00 PM with Father Nestor Lara officiating, burial to follow at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be on Wednesday from 1:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home with rosary beginning at 6:00 PM.  Due to COVID 19- virus all who are attending mass will need to wear a mask provided by themselves and only 50 people will be allowed in the funeral home at any one given time. Your health and safety matter to us.

Julieta was born on July 30, 1940 in Mexico to Toribio and Juana (Perez) Liscano. Julieta has been a resident of Hereford since 1960, she worked as a laborer and was a homemaker. She is a member of San Jose Catholic Church. She was a Guadalupana and was involved in Jail Ministry. Julieta volunteered at Hereford Senior Citizens and enjoyed her time there. She liked to watch Novelas and play Bingo.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Mary Jane Chavira and Adela Gonzales and her husband Pablo both of Herford, TX; stepsons: Juan Galan and wife Rosa of Amarillo, TX and Inez Galan of Hereford, TX; stepdaughters: Alicia Jimenez and Maria Galan both of Hereford, TX, Seferina Flores and Ramona Galan both of Canyon, TX, and Maria Galan of Amarillo, TX; brothers: Santos Liscano and wife Alma of Hereford, TX, Francisco Liscano and wife Lucy of Lubbock, TX, Louis Liscano and wife Lila, Toby Liscano, Jr. and wife Consuelo, and Juan Liscano and wife Gloria all of Hereford, TX and Ruben Liscano and wife Leticia of Plainview, TX; sisters: Idolina Herrera and husband Felipe, Sara Ceballos and husband Miguel, and Blanca Barrientos all of Hereford, TX; grandchildren: Alyssa Gonzalez, Ann Marie Gonzales, Pablo Gonzalez, Jr., Jose Chavira, and Jesus Chavira.

Julieta will join her parents; husbands Joe Martinez and Julio Galan; daughter Mary Ann Berumen; stepdaughter Elvira Garcia; and sister Mary Liscano.
