Julian Ruiz, 62 of McAllen, Texas passed away in Edinburg, Texas on June 30, 2021.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at Victory Family Worship Center with Pastor Lorenzo Martinez officiating.  Burial of cremains to follow at Rest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.

Julian was born on October 10, 1958, in Hereford, Texas to Juan and Martha (Salinas) Ruiz. He was a 1978 graduate of Hereford High School. Julian married Mary Lou Flores in 1979 in La Joya, Texas. If you knew Julian, you knew he was a workaholic. For the past 42 years he was a maintenance mechanic for Coca-Cola in McAllen, Texas. He enjoyed visiting his family back home here in Hereford, where they would gather and dance the night away in Carmen's garage. Motorcycle rides (no matter what kind of weather) were a must with mandatory pitstops. He loved watching NASCAR and going to drag races. His heart was with his one and only beautiful daughter Mariela. He was wrapped around her pinky from day one.

Those left to cherish his memories are parents, wife Mary Lou (Flores) Ruiz, daughter Mariela Ivana Ruiz, mother-in-law, Juanita Flores, siblings, Adelaida "Lala" Murillo and her husband Raymond, Juan Jr. Ruiz and his wife Carol, Zelda Marie Flores and her husband Gilde, Carmen Selinda Castillo and her husband Juan, Fabian Ruiz and his wife Lupe, David Ruiz, Jaime Ruiz and his wife Carol, and Jose Fidencio Ruiz and his wife Vicky.
