Julian "Cheeto" Alanis, 27, of Hereford, Texas passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021, in Hereford. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at San Jose Catholic Church with celebrant Ramon Molina officiating. Burial to follow at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.  A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at the funeral home from 4:00-8:00 P.M. with rosary beginning at 6:00 P.M.

Julian was born on October 19, 1993, in Hereford, Texas to Refugio and Guillermina (Pantoja) Alanis. Julian a lifelong resident of Hereford, graduated from Hereford High School in 2010. He attended and graduated from WyoTech Mechanical School in 2014-2015. He worked a little while as a mechanic for BMW. After returning to Hereford, he worked in maintenance for Caviness and then as a technician for the Windmills. Julian enjoyed working on his car, a Honda, talking with his mom on the phone, and working out. He also enjoyed good food, gatherings with his brothers, and keeping in contact with his family in Mexico. Julian loved his children and the time spent with them.

Those left to cherish his memories are his parents, Refugio Alanis of Laredo, Texas and Guillermina Alanis of Mission, Texas; five children, Julian Alanis, Jr., Xavier Alanis, Aaliaha Alanis, Michael Alanis, and Elizabeth Alanis all of Hereford, Texas; siblings, Martha Alanis and her husband Cesar Reyes of Hereford, Texas, Tomas Alanis and his wife LuLu of Dimmitt, Texas, Refugio E. Alanis and his wife Valerie Wesley, Salvador Alanis and his wife Shana, and Martin Alanis all of Hereford, Texas, and Ingrid Alanis of Mission, Texas; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Julian is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Paula Ortiz and Guillermo Pantoja, and paternal grandparents Maria de Jesus Castillo and Tomas Alanis.
