Juaquina "Quino" Luisa Muñoz, 83, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024, in Amarillo. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. in the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel with son Luis Muñoz officiating. Burial will follow at West Park Cemetery under the direction of Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. Viewing will be on Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Juaquina was born on August 16, 1940, in Dilley, Texas to Lucio and Jovita (Uvalle) Sanchez. She married Felipe E. Muñoz in 1962 in Clovis, New Mexico. They moved to Hereford in 1977. Juaquina enjoyed singing, cooking, crocheting, and sewing. She was a member of The God of the First Born Church in Hereford. Juaquina was strong in her faith, praying constantly, and reading her bible. She was a loving, caring, and kind woman who loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish Juaquina's memories are her sons, Luis Muñoz and his wife Sophia of Amarillo, Texas, Carlos Muñoz of Hereford, Texas, and Felipe Munoz Jr. of Hereford, Texas; grandchildren, Annie Ruth Medina (Luis), Leticia Muñoz (Jorge Martinez), Luis Muñoz Jr. (Armanda), Sophia Luise Muñoz (Michael Nguyen), Carlos Muñoz, Jr., April Muñoz, Jasmine Muñoz, Tyler Jay Muñoz (Sarah), Amanda JoAnn Farmer (Matthew), Adam Lee Muñoz, Kristine Phillis Muñoz, Brandon Phillip Muñoz, and Felipe Muñoz III; twenty-eight great grandchildren, one  great-great grandbaby on the way; siblings, Eugene Sanchez (Susie) of Crystal City, Texas, Jovita Reyes of Quemado, Texas, Olga Salinas of Illinois, Elma Mendoza of Crystal City, Texas, Felix Sanchez (Norma) of Crystal City, Texas, Rosa Escobedo (Tavo) of Clementine, Texas, Alicia Ortega of Arlington, Texas, Josie Sanchez of Crystal City, Texas, and Matilda De La Fuente of Crystal City, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Juaquina is preceded in death by her parents Lucio and Jovita Sanchez, brother Joe Sanchez, and sisters Rafaela Sanchez and Dominga Sanchez.
