Jose Enrique "Quique" Casarez, 45, a lifelong resident of Hereford, Texas passed away Monday, October 26, 2020 in Amarillo. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, October 31, 2020 at 11:00 AM at San Jose Catholic Church with Celebrant Ramon Molina, burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Those that wish to come by to sign the guestbook will be available to do so from 2:00-8:00 PM on Friday, rosary will begin at 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Everyone attending the funeral service must wear a mask provided by you. The funeral home will only allow 50 people in the funeral home at any one given time. Your safety and health matter to us.

Quique was born May 9, 1975 in Raymondville, Texas to Ciro A. Casarez, Jr. and Maria Esperanza (Rodriguez) Casarez. Quique attended schools in Hereford and at an early age owned and operated Ciro Casarez & Sons Trucking up until his death. He had a "special" truck that he has owned since the age of 17.  Quique enjoyed riding his Harley, spending, and making great memories with his children and grandchildren and he especially loved spending quality time with his mother. He and his mother had a tremendous bond and love for one another. He took care of her and made the best omelets. He had a sweet tooth and loved ice cream. Quique loved the children in his family and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He had a very generous and big heart. He leaves behind wonderful memories for his family and will be dearly missed by so many.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Jessica Barrientos of Hereford, his dad, Ciro Casarez, Jr. of Hereford, his children Isaac Casarez and his wife Kimberly, Jose Casarez and his wife Meagan all of Hereford, his daughter Mercedes Castro her husband Elvis of Oklahoma, Ivan Casarez, Anthony Casarez and Jeremiah Casarez all of Hereford, a brother Ciro Casarez III and his wife Jackie and a sister Geneva Lopez and her husband Javier all of Hereford and several nieces and nephews.

Quique has joined his mother, Esperanza "Espie" Casarez, grandfather Ciro Casarez, grandmother Estella Casarez, grandfather Jose E. Rodriguez, his in-laws Raymundo and Maria Elena Barrientos, uncle Guadalupe Casarez, aunt Elva Castillo, and a nephew, Jay Casarez in heaven.
