Jose Guadalupe Maldonado, 95, of Hereford, Texas, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021, in Hereford, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 20, 2021, at 2:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church with Celebrant Nestor Lara officiating. Burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.

Jose was born December 25, 1925, in Urireo Guanajuato, Mexico to J. Cruz and Petrolina (Salinas) Maldonado. Jose has been a resident of Deaf Smith and Castro counties since 1980. He married Maria Salinas Maldonado in 1944. Jose has been a farm laborer most of his life. Jose loved to work, his family considered him to be a workaholic. He enjoyed dancing, walking, watching wrestling, working in his yard, and gardening; he always wanted to keep busy.

Those left to cherish his memories are his children, Nicolas Maldonado and his wife Ana of Mexico, Eva Pina and her husband Roberto of Friona, Texas, Cruz Maldonado and his wife Joaquina and Raquel Molina and her husband Antonio all of Hereford, Texas, a brother, Jose Maldonado and his wife Juana of Mexico, and a sister, Maria Maldonado of Illinois; 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Jose will be joining his parents, 2 brothers, Francisco and Juan Maldonado and a sister, Aurora Maldonado in heaven.
