Jose "Kiko" Flores, 60, of Hereford, Texas passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 in Amarillo, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at San Jose Catholic Church with Father Ramon Molina officiating, burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 1:00-8:00 P.M. with Rosary to begin at 6:30 P.M. at the funeral home. A mask provided by you is required if attending mass.

Jose was born on October 19, 1960 to Carlos Flores Martinez and Jovita Rodriguez Ortiz in Iramuco, Acambaro, Guanajuato, Mexico. Jose shared twenty-four wonderful years with his wife Selma. Jose has been a resident of Hereford since 1994. He worked as a roller operator for Blattner Energy for the past two years and prior worked for MK Middleton for thirteen years. He was a member of San Jose Catholic Church. Jose loved to watch soccer and cheer on his favorite team, Las Chivas. He enjoyed social Fridays with friends and family and making his JFC, "Jose's Fried Chicken." Jose and Selma enjoyed traveling together to California and South Carolina to see family and to Mexico for Christmas. He loved his birthday and liked to celebrate it the whole month of October. Jose had a big heart, he was hardworking, caring and made friends easily with anyone, anywhere. He loved his family dearly and he will be missed greatly.

Those left to cherish his memories are wife Selma Flores, daughter Rachel Salinas and her husband Gilbert III, sons Elias Guzman and his wife Monica and Jorge Guzman and his wife Jessica, all of Hereford, Texas, grandchildren Celeste Marquez, Leslie Rojas, Jonathan Rojas, Elianna Marquez, Evan Salinas, Elijah Salinas, Aeidyn Salinas, Liam Salinas, Brendon Guzman, Eliah Guzman, Elijah Guzman, Nevaiah Guzman, Haylee Guzman, and Brooke Guzman, great- grandchildren Levi Rojas and Brenlynn Guzman, father Carlos Flores Martinez of Slaton, Texas, brother Carlos Flores and his wife Lydia of Mexico, sisters Alicia Perez and her husband Antonio of California, Catalina Huerta and her husband Juan of South Carolina, Eva Garcia and her husband Alfredo of Mexico, numerous nieces and nephews and his best friend and dog Buddy.

He is preceded in death by his mom Jovita and grandson Elias Jeremiah Guzman.
