JoNell "Nana" Shipp, 82, of Hereford passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 in Hereford. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. Viewing will be Monday from 2:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.

JoNell was born October 8, 1936 in Haskell, Texas to Ivan F. and Willie Mae (Pannel) Monsey. She has been a resident of Hereford for fifty years. In her younger years she modeled for Sears and Roebuck, she owned a thrift store and worked for Handy Hut and Fina. She retired from Dr. Hutto's office after being his vet technician for fifteen years. JoNell enjoyed traveling, gardening, crocheting and giving piano lessons, but most of all she loved her best companion, Josey Wells, her Jack Russell Terrier dog and her family and friends. She was an awesome mother and best friend to her daughter.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter Cindy Smith of Hereford two sons Butch Shipp of San Angelo and Joe Cass Shipp of Hereford and her best little companion, Josey Wells; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband A.V. Shipp.
