Joel Rocha, 29, of Hereford passed away, Thursday, December 21, 2017 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be Wednesday at the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jose Rico officiating, burial to follow at West Park Cemetery in Hereford. Arrangements are being handled by Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. Family and friend visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00-9:00 PM at the funeral home.

Joel was born September 14, 1988 in Hereford Texas to Yolanda Casas and Eladio Rocha, Sr. Joel has been a lifelong resident of Hereford. He graduated from Adrian High School. He was a self-employed welder for the surrounding area. Joel was very outgoing and social. He enjoyed mechanic work and building things with his hands.

Those left to cherish his memories are his mother, Yolanda Casas and her husband Jose Manuel of Hereford, his father, Eladio Rocha, Sr. of Friona; his daughter, Brianna Lynn Rocha of Friona, three brothers; Eladio Rocha and his wife Rachael of Del Rio, Texas, Christopher Casas of Iowa Falls, Iowa and Valente Casas and his wife Isabel of Friona and one sister, Maria Florinda Vargas and her husband Nicandro of Iowa Falls, Iowa. He is also survived by several uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.
