Jody Blackwell, 75, of Hereford, Texas passed away Saturday, October 12, 2019 in Hereford, Texas. Funeral services will be Friday, October 18, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel Rev. Bob Miller of Crossroads Country Church in Amarillo, Texas will be officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Hereford, Texas. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 17, 2019 from 5:00PM-7:00PM at the funeral home.

Jody was born July 22, 1944 in Goodnight, Texas to Fred Miller and Bessie (Stout) Miller. Jody was a resident of the Hereford Community since the 70's. Jody was a hairdresser and owned her own beauty salon in Channing, Texas for 10 years. When she moved to Hereford, she worked for Southwestern Public Service for 16 years, she also worked for the Deaf Smith County. In Jody's younger years she enjoyed playing volleyball; she also enjoyed playing the piano. She played the piano at Trinity Baptist Church for several years.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Billy Holliday of Hereford, Texas; her sister Reta DeBord and her husband Melvin of Gordonville, Texas; her brother Rev. Bob Miller and his wife Glenda of Amarillo, Texas; her daughter-in-law Janie Blackwell of Rockwall, Texas; her granddaughter Jalee Blackwell of Rockwall, Texas and many nieces and nephews.

Jody is preceded in death by her parents, her son Terry Dean Blackwell, three sisters Linda Beth Miller, Patsy Bryan and Cathy DeBord.
