Jimmy Moreno, 59, a lifelong resident of Hereford, Texas passed away Monday April 13, 2020 in Hereford. Graveside service will be held Thursday April 16, 2020 at 10:00 AM at West Park Cemetery with officiant Pastor Guy Walker. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be Tuesday April 14, 2020 from 1:00-8:00 PM and Wednesday April 15, 10:00 AM-8:00 PM at the funeral home. There will be a Celebration of Life Service in Memory of Jimmy at a later date and time. Due to mandates that have been placed on the funeral home at this time, there will only be 10 people allowed in the funeral home for both viewings and only 10 people allowed at the burial.

Jimmy was born January 5, 1961 in Dimmitt, Texas to Santiago DeLuna and Zulema (Moreno) Edwards. Jimmy attended Hereford schools. He worked in a detail shop in San Antonio for 5 years and at Blasco Company for 10 years. Jimmy was a member at Barn Church of Hereford. He loved his church and enjoyed listening to christian music. He enjoyed family gatherings and cooking for the Holidays. His favorite dish to cook was green bean casserole. He also enjoyed rock music, attending rock concerts, and going to the movies.

Those left to cherish his memories are his mother Zulema Edwards of Hereford, two sons Jimmy Leonardo Moreno of San Marcos and Jaime Moreno of Amarillo; two daughters Yevette Murillo of Hereford and Yvonne Cervantes of Amarillo; 3 brothers Paul Moreno of Hereford; Peter Moreno and wife Angie of Dallas; and Charles Garcia of Hereford; 15 grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jimmy is proceeded in death by his father Santiago DeLuna, wife Janie C. Moreno, a granddaughter Zabery Pesqueda and a stepdad Albert Edwards.
