Jesus Sergio Campos, 67, of Friona, Texas, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021, in Dimmitt, Texas.  Celebration of Life Service will be on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at Calvary Family Church in Hereford, Texas with Pastor Ruben Coronado officiating. Burial will follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, from 3:00 -8:00 P.M. with a prayer service beginning at 6:00 P.M., viewing to continue Wednesday, October 6, 2021, from 9:00 A.M.- 12:00 A.M.

Jesus was born on December 16, 1953, to Isidoro and Esperanza Maldonado (Campos) in Saltillo Coahuila, Mexico. He moved to Hereford, Texas in 1972 and has been a resident of Friona, Texas since 1977. Jesus married Elizabeth (Rodriguez) on April 23, 1977. He worked for Cargill for 33 years as a knife sharpener. He loved to be outside working on different projects and inventions and was known to be quite the handy man.  Jesus enjoyed teaching his son's how to play baseball and watching sports. He was a good sport with his grandkids taking part in many Tik Tok's and Snapchats. Jesus liked to grill out and cook on his disco, some specialties being tripas and carnitas. He especially enjoyed time spent with family, grandchildren, and his great grandson. He also loved taking trips to Mexico to spend time with his family that lived there. Jesus was a hardworking family man, who will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Elizabeth Campos of Friona, TX.; children, Claudia Campos of Friona, TX., Jesus Sergio Campos Jr. and his wife Diana of Hereford, TX., and Jorge Campos of Friona, TX.; grandchildren, Breanna Villanueva and Alexis Cavazos both of Friona, TX., Hector Cavazos Jr., Zaylin Campos, Jesus Sergio Campos III, Jacob Enriquez and Jacyell Campos all Hereford, TX., Yazmyn Campos, Shylay Campos, and Jayden Campos all of Bovina, TX.; great grandson Ezra Michael Villanueva of Friona, TX.; sisters, Irma Ovalle Campos and Elva Campos both of Saltillo Coahuila, MX; sister in-law AnaVelia Campos of Hereford, TX.; nephews, Eric Campos of Hereford, TX. and Daniel Campos of Conroe, TX.; niece Gabriela Campos of Saltillo, Coahuila, MX

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jose Luis Campos, Hector Campos, Oscar Campos, and Isidoro Campos Jr., and a niece, Esperanza "Hopie" Campos.
