Jesse Garcia, 56, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, in Amarillo, Texas. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 26, 2021, at 10:00 AM at the Good News Church with Pastor David Alvarado officiating, burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be Friday, June 25, 2021, from 1:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home with prayer service at 6:00 PM.

Jesse was born June 15, 1965, in Brady, Texas to Victor and Matiana (Arias) Garcia. He has been a resident of Hereford for 41 years. He met the love of his life when they both were 15 years old; they officially united in 1984 and have been together ever since. Jesse was a meat market manager for Thriftway and Wal-Mart and later began driving a truck independently and for others as well. He hauled pretty much anything and everything. Jesse enjoyed cooking, especially his famous brisket and carnitas, he liked to ride his motorcycle and was always fixing things around the house, and if he did not know how he would figure it out. Jesse was a jack-of-all-trades. His greatest love was his family and spending time with them, he especially loved his children and grandchildren. Jesse was the "heart" of his family, he was always calling, checking in with all his family members to make sure they were all good. He made everyone feel like family, he was loving, caring and had a heart of gold. He was a very hardworking man and a spontaneous person, one day he might be in Hereford, Texas and the next day be in California, he would go anywhere at the drop of a hat. Jesse loved his nieces and nephews, but above all he made sure his children and grandchildren had the very, best always.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Elena Garcia of Hereford, Texas, a daughter, Samantha Garcia and her husband Blake Mangus of Pampa, Texas and a son, Angel Garcia of Hereford, Texas; his siblings, Rosa Sandoval, Victoria Galindo and Maria Garcia and her husband George all of Brady, Texas, Victor Garcia and his wife Sylvia of Amarillo, Texas, Gloria Ramirez and her husband Larry of Coleman, Texas, Lidia Garcia Del Toro and her husband Juan of Hereford, Texas, Augustine Garcia and his wife Nelda of Lubbock, Texas, Antonio Garcia and Ruben Garcia and his wife Elizabeth all of Brady, Texas and Jose Victor Garcia of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 4 grandchildren, Jaden, Kaden, and Haleigh Martinez and Natalie Mangus and several nieces and nephews.

Jesse will be joining his parents, 8 brothers and 5 sisters in heaven.
