Jeanne Carnahan Langford, 66, of Hereford, passed away January 12, 2024. Graveside services will be on Friday, January 19, 2024, at 10:00 AM at West Park Cemetery with Rev. Rusty Dickerson officiating with a Celebration of Life Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 AM at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 6:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Jeanne was born on March 6, 1957, in Hereford to Tommy and Margaret Carnahan. She was the second child of four, but was always in charge.

Jeanne was a member of the Hereford High School class of 1975. She married Larry Lomas in 1974 and he preceded her in death in 1984.

She, then, in 1999 married Steve Langford, the man that would take such loving care of her for 24 years.

Jeanne was a very creative person, enjoying calligraphy, needlepoint and stained glass among other things. She relished in her role as a homemaker with her canning skills along with her ability of turning her home into the place that everyone wanted to be.

She enjoyed family gatherings and was happy to be the life of the party.

Jeanne also had the ability to know when someone needed her help and took it upon herself to be a great caretaker.

She will be missed by all that knew her.

She was preceded by her first husband, Larry, parents Tommy and Margaret Carnahan, brothers Phillip Carnahan and David Carnahan, son Jeremy Lomas and nephew Eric Horton.

She is survived by her husband, Steve, daughter Laura (Abel) Johnston, Kasey (Lori) Lomas, Josh (Adrian) Langford, Thomas (Jamie) Langford, Grandchildren Jolie Johnston, Andrew Johnston, Kaydee Langford and Emma Langford, sister Amy (Jay) Scott and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials can be made to the First Methodist Church of Hereford, 501 N. Main, Hereford, Texas 79045.
