Jason Jesus "Jay" Soto, 29, a lifelong resident of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023, in Sweetwater, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 2:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church with Celebrant David Contreras officiating. Burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, from 3:00-8:00 PM and rosary at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Jason was born on December 25, 1993, in Hereford, Texas, to Francisco "Javier" and Dora "Patty" Soto. He graduated from Hereford High School in 2012, shortly thereafter attending Amarillo College. Jason was an operator/laborer for Blattner Energy since 2017.  Jason, was a very responsible, caring, big-hearted individual! He enjoyed working out, and practicing "Muy Thai", and martial arts. He also enjoyed watching drag racing and anime. He loved music, playing his ukelele, and eating his favorite food, pizza.  His greatest love was his family and friends. He enjoyed getting together with them on his time off. He always tried his best to go above and beyond for his loved ones, he guided people into the right direction and never said "no" to any requests. He was a wonderful son, brother, and friend to many. Jason's presence and big smile will be missed dearly.

Those left to cherish his memories are his parents, Javier and Patty Soto, his brother, Javier Soto and his wife Martina, and his sister, Ashley Soto and her fiancé, Sergio Olivas all of Hereford, Texas; his best friend and soulmate, Yahaira Roman of Hereford, Texas, his paternal grandmother, Vicken Lozoya of Camargo, Chih. Jason fue operador / trabajador de Blattner Energy desde 2017.  ¡Jason, era un individuo muy responsable, cariñoso y de gran corazón!
