Janis Meerza, 60, of Hereford, Texas passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021 in Hereford. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.

Janis was born on July 23, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois to Richard Sr. and Elsie (Emery) Grzybczyk. Janis grew up and lived in Chicago until 1997 when she moved to Tucumcari, New Mexico. She worked as a CNA for 10 years. Janis later moved to Hereford and has been a resident since 2007. She enjoyed listening to music, especially the oldies and loved dolphins. She had quite the collection of dolphins. Janis enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was dearly loved and will be missed by many.

Those left to cherish her memories are companion Henry Cordova of Hereford, Texas, son Andrew Grzybczyk of California, daughter Farah Garcia and her husband Albert of Clayton, NM, son Adam Meerza of Tucumcari, NM, grandsons, Scott Meerza, Frankie Garcia, Ajay Garcia, Elijah Garcia, Jordan Garcia, and Jacob Garcia, granddaughters Destiny Grzybcyzk and Kensington Meerza, brother Richard Grzybczyk, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Dennis Grzybczyk.
