Janet Kaye Love Leingang, 68, of Amarillo formerly of Hereford passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018 in Amarillo. Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be Monday, October 8, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Victory Family Worship Center in Hereford with Pastor Lorenzo Martinez officiating. Cremation and funeral services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford.

Janet was born June 18, 1950 in Stafford, Kansas to Dud and Laura (Wilson) Love. Janet graduated from Winner, South Dakota in 1968. Janet married Roy Eugene Leingang on June 12, 1969. She and her husband were residents of Dimmitt since 1974, moving to Hereford until 2000 and living in Amarillo since February of 2017. Janet was a CNA at the Dimmitt Nursing Home, she also worked at Allsups, Dimmitt Mini Mart, Stripes and Fast Stop. Janet enjoyed reading, crocheting, she enjoyed talking on her phone to her family, but above all these she loved her grandchildren and her family. Janet was a wonderful wife, mother, Mimi and Aunt.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Roy Leingang of Amarillo, two daughters, Denise Heggestad of Hereford and Loretta Davis and her husband Eric of Amarillo; five grandchildren April Howell and husband Tommy of Dimmitt, Robyn Heggestad and fiancé Oscar Cordova of Tulia; Skylier Davis and fiancé Katelyn Alvarado of Amarillo; Cheyenne Heggestad of Hereford and Destiny Davis of Amarillo; six great grandchildren Shelbee, Jarred and Raygan Howell all of Dimmitt; Nathaniel and Hailey Barnes of Hereford and Amelia Sanchez of Amarillo; two brothers Elmer Love of Amarillo and George Campbell and his wife Nyla of Warroad, Minnesota and several nieces, nephews, great, great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers; three sisters-in-law; one son-in-law; one niece; two nephews and a great-great nephew .
