Jane Lozoya of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the age of 103.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Reverend Grant Spinhirne as celebrant. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 4:00 -8:00 PM at the funeral home with the Vigil/Rosary Service at 6:00 PM. Rosary will be recited by family on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Arrangements and Services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford.

Jane was born on August 13, 1922, in Rosebud, Texas, to Victor and Catarina (Mojica) Chavez. She married Manuel Lozoya on October 18, 1948, in Lubbock, Texas, and has resided in Hereford for over sixty years. Jane worked as a truck driver for twenty-six years, transporting produce, and also served as a Security Guard for Holly Sugar. She was an active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Hereford, where she dedicated over two decades as the director of Cursillo, in collaboration with both the Diocese of Amarillo and the Diocese of Lubbock. Jane was deeply committed to her faith and regularly attended church services. She took pride in always looking her best, valued her family greatly, maintained close relationships with her grandchildren, and appreciated time spent with loved ones, particularly anticipating her son John's return home each day.

Those left to cherish her memories are her two sons, John Lozoya and Joe Luis Lozoya and his wife Eva, both of Hereford, Texas; fourteen grandchildren, and twenty-four great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Catarina Chavez, husband Manuel Lozoya; son Joe Manuel Lozoya; seven siblings Phillip, Jose, Manuel, Julian, and Jesus Chavez, Victoria Macias, and Catalina Torres; five grandchildren, Joe Martin Lozoya, Joshua Lozoya, Kristi Rodriguez, Ruth Knapp, and Jessica Thompson; and one great grandchild Alejandro Lozoya.
