Pedro Segovia, 76, of Hereford, Texas passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 in Hereford, Texas. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 4:00 PM at the Primera Iglesia Bautista Nueva Vida with Pastor Alonso Garcia officiating. Burial will be Friday, April 30, 2021 at Boise City Cemetery in Boise City, Oklahoma at 11:00 AM. with Pastor Noe Diaz officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will begin Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Pedro was born January 20, 1945, in Velardena, Durango, Mexico to Erasmo and Feliciana (Favela) Segovia. J. Pedro has been a resident of Hereford for 13 years. He married the love of his life, Maria Refugia on March 10, 1965. J. Pedro worked for Merrick Pet Care for one year and later went to work at Lonestar Calf Ranch in Hereford for 10 years. J. Pedro enjoyed fishing, taking strolls, selling, and trading all most anything and everything, such as, peanuts, lollipops, and popsicles, just to name a few of the items he traded. He also enjoyed gardening, taking care of lawns and he loved caring for stray dogs. J. Pedro was a very hard-working gentleman. His greatest love was spending time with his family, but especially his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Maria Segovia of Hereford, TX, his children, Guadalupe Hernandez and her husband Gerardo of Boise City, OK., Pedro Segovia and his wife Elvira of Crofton, NE., Felix Segovia of Mexico, Sergio Segovia of Calgary, Canada, Antonio Segovia and his wife Elvia Mendoza of Yankton, SD., and Cruz Segovia of Mexico; one brother, Francisco Segovia of Mexico; 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Pedro is joining his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister in heaven.
