Irene "Grammie" Mullins, of Hereford, Texas passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, in Hereford at the age of eighty-eight.

Irene was born on May 26, 1937, in Rotan, Texas, to Edgar and Lou Ada (Jarvis) Moize. She moved to Hereford in 1970. Over the years, Irene operated an in-home childcare service, worked for the City of Hereford, served as a night dispatcher for REC, and was a caretaker for elderly residents. She was a faithful and involved member of Avenue Baptist Church in Hereford.

Irene loved traveling with family, friends, and tour groups. She visited all fifty states as well as Italy, Ireland, England, Germany, and Austria. She especially enjoyed Branson, Missouri, spending weeks there visiting friends, and working, making bracelets to sell at nearby vendor shows. Irene also loved traveling with her friends to Elvis Tribute Artist Shows and collecting Elvis Memorbilia.

Irene found her greatest joy in time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she cherished her role as "Grammie." She was outgoing, adventurous, thoughtful, and caring—always the first to show up for her family and anyone in need.

She is survived by her children, Eddy Mullins of Hereford, Texas, Stoney Mullins and his wife Jolene of Midland, Texas, and Leslie Mullins and his wife Sheri of Midland, Texas; grandchildren, Devin Mullins (Alena), Dylan Mullins (Whitney), Chelsea Gallagher (Kory), Brandy Bedford, Michael Mullins (Kourtney), Christopher Mullins (Jennifer), Marshall Mullins, Amanda Mullins, Stormy Wilson (Kyle),  Ryan Hall, and Lindsay Hall (TJ), Drake Fuqua (Sabrina); and numerous great grandchildren.

Preceding her in passing are parents, Edgar and Lou Ada Moize, daughter-in-law Jennifer Mullins, and her brothers and sisters.

Celebration of Life Service will be on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Avenue Baptist Church in Hereford with Pastor Billy Joe Wall officiating. Burial will take place at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, at Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Dimmitt. A Family and Friend Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home in Hereford.
