Humberto S. Medrano, 75, of Amarillo formerly of Hereford, Texas passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 in Amarillo. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Celebrant Nickolas Gerber officiating, burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. A mask is required to attend the funeral service and the entrance to the church is at the Bell Tower entrance. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Condolences are welcome from 4:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at the funeral home. A mask is required to be worn at the funeral home.

Humberto was born March 5, 1945 in Matehuala San Luis, Pontosi, Mexico to Julio and Prisciliana (Sias) Medrano. Humberto and his wife lived in Hereford for 39 years. Humberto married the love of his life, Rose Ramirez on September 28, 1968, being married for 52 years. Together they owned and operated C. Ramirez and Sons Tortilla Factory in Hereford for 28 years and owned and operated El Vaquero Restaurant from 1995-1999. In 1999 he and his wife moved to Amarillo and opened El Vaquero Restaurant. Humberto and his wife retired in 2014, leaving the restaurant to their son, Gabriel Medrano. Humberto was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church while he lived in Hereford. After his retirement he and Rose enjoyed traveling to visit family, he loved music, he was a Dallas Cowboy fan, he enjoyed gambling, ranching. and telling stories to his family about the "Good Ole Days."

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Rose Medrano of Amarillo; his children, Maria Carreon, Cuberto Medrano and his wife Michelle all of Amarillo, Eva Ordonez of Anchorage, Alaska, Joe H. Medrano and his wife Monica and Gabriel Medrano and his wife Donna all of Amarillo; three sisters, Teresa Estrada and her husband Francisco of Matehuala San Luis, Pontosi, Mexico, Simona Surface and her husband Maurice of Houston, Pilar Mendoza and Atanasia Silva both of Chicago; 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Humberto is joining his parents, three brothers, Julio, Domingo and Benino Medrano, three sisters, Elpidia Coronado, Angela Estrada and Guadalupe Morelos in heaven.
