Helen Kay Posey, 69, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, in Hereford. Arrangements and Cremation Services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. Family will receive friends for a visitation on Friday, June 30, 2023, from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Helen was born on October 4, 1953, in Boise City, Oklahoma to Calvin and Katherine (Fansher) Moulton. She married Ronnie Posey on January 29, 1977, in Amarillo, Texas. They moved to Hereford, Texas in 1984.  Helen was a member of the Hereford Church of the Nazarene, a Sunday school teacher, and a substitute teacher. She enjoyed watching TV and playing cards and loved her dogs, Chance and Peanut; they were her buddies. Helen loved Jesus and her family and took great pride in caring for her sons and lovingly worried about them and their endeavors.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Ronnie Posey of Hereford, Texas; two sons, Colby Posey and his girlfriend Estella Abeyta of Hereford, Texas, and Allen Posey of Clarendon, Texas; grandchildren, Bobbie Abeyta, Isedore Abeyta, and Jayden Abeyta all of Hereford, Texas; great grandchildren, Orion Roberts and Emery Roberts of Hereford, Texas, Abeyta niece Leah Rae Moulton of Franklin, Indiana; and nephew Stephan Moulton and his wife Kari of Bourbonnais, Illinois.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son Calvin Posey, brother Leonard Wayne Mouton, and sister Audrey Moulton.
