Harvey "Don" Garza, 72, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022, in Hereford, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Celebrant Nick Gerber officiating. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. The Garza family will receive family and friends on Friday, April 22, 2022, from 4:00-8:00PM and rosary will be at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Harvey was born January 1, 1950, in Robstown, Texas, to Aniceto and Petra (Martinez) Garza. Harvey has been a resident of Hereford, Texas, for 44 years. He married the love of his life Yolanda Armendariz, in 1967 at Seadrift, Texas. Harvey has been a truck driver, hauling agriculture commodities, most of his life. He enjoyed going to the casinos with his wife, being on his phone with family and friends and social media, listening to Conjunto music, watching "Criminal Minds" on tv and was an avid Dallas Cowboy's fan. Harvey loved telling stories of his childhood to his family, being a jokester and making everyone laugh, giving all his family their nicknames, he loved his tools and Harbor Freight, where he purchased his tools. Harvey's greatest joy and love was his family, especially his grandchildren, he was always there to help and give in any way that he could. Harvey had a very caring and giving heart and was loved by so many. He will be missed by dearly missed by his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Yolanda "Mom" Garza of Hereford, Texas, his children Melinda Tijerina and her husband Gilbert of Greeley, CO., Sandra Rodriguez and her husband Robert of Hereford, Texas, Harvey Garza, Jr. and his wife Priscilla of Amarillo, Texas, Belinda Villegas and her husband Sylvester of Dumas, Texas, and Lori Garza of Hereford, Texas; 23 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Harvey is preceded in death by his parents, a brother David Garza, and a sister Josephine Alejandre.
