Guillermo V. "Willie" Nava, 73, passed away, Monday, December 28, 2020 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the Hereford Nazarene Family Church at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ted Taylor and Noe Diaz officiating. Burial will follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will begin on Monday, January 4, 2021 from 3:00 PM-8:00PM, and a Prayer Service at 6:00 PM at the funeral home. A mask is required to be worn if attending the viewing and the church service. Guillermo V. "Willie" Nava was born in Uriangato, Guanajuato Mexico to Romulo Nava and Elvira Villagomez. He came to the United States in 1969. He moved to Hereford from Dallas in 1976 where he met the love of his life Josie Ramirez and were married on September 19, 1977 in Clovis, NM. They were happily married for 43 years. Guillermo was a loving and caring hardworking man. He loved taking care of his family, especially his grandkids and great granddaughter. He loved watching his news, particularly CNN, watching Mexican movies, especially "Sol en Llamas", and watching baseball, his favorite team was the Texas Rangers. He enjoyed going on vacation with his entire family. Willie worked at Bar-G-Feedyard for 34 years as a cattle doctor. He also enjoyed caring for Johnny Trotter's horses. He loved playing solitaire on his phone and would download it on his grandkids' phones. He also enjoyed playing poker.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Josie Nava. One son, John Nava, and wife Pati. Three daughters, Elizabeth Nava, Sandra Velazquez and husband Luis, Esther Garcia, and husband Pedro, all of Hereford. Three sisters, Eva Nava, Rosa Rodriguez, and husband Augustine Sr. all of Hereford. Alicia Carmona and husband Prajedes of Mexico. Seven brothers, Jose Luis Nava and wife Maria, Juan Ramon Nava Sr., and wife Oralia of Hereford. Raul Nava Sr. and wife Irma, Antonio Nava Sr. and wife Susana of Moses Lake, WA. Ruben Nava and wife Benita of Carrizo Springs, TX. Eloy Nava of New Braunfels, TX. And Javier Nava of Austin, TX. and sister-in-law Rosario Nava of Hereford. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and one great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Romulo & Elvira Nava, brother Arturo Nava, goddaughter Jasmine Dominguez, mother & father-in-law Jose & Eulalia Ramirez & brother-in- law Ruben Ramirez.
