Gregoria T. Avila, 71, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, in Hereford, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, November 14, 2022, at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Celebrant Grant Spinhirne officiating. Graveside services will be on Monday, November 14, 2022, at 12:30 PM at Happy Cemetery in Happy, Texas. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be on Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 1:00 -8:00 PM and on Sunday, November 13, 2022, from 1:00-8:00 PM with rosary at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Gregoria was born on March 12, 1951, in Edinburg, Texas, to Hesiquio and Tranquilina (Vela) Torres. Gregoria has been a resident of Hereford, Texas, for approximately twelve years. She married the love of her life Ramon Avila on March 24, 1973, in Tulia, Texas. Gregoria was the Administrative Assistant at West Texas A&M University for twenty plus years. She was a member St. Anthony's Catholic Church of Hereford, Texas. Gregoria loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, she enjoyed dancing and singing, reading, writing stories, loved watching "Family Feud", she was very fond of all flowers and especially roses. Gregoria loved her poodle, "Goldie", she was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and was always ready to help people in need. She will be dearly missed by many.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children Ramon Avila, Jr.  and his wife Yolanda of Happy, Texas, Bernabe Avila and his wife Monica of Amarillo, Texas, Rebecca Avila and Maggie Maldonado and her husband Benji Elizondo, and her precious poodle "Goldie", all of Hereford, Texas; nine grandchildren Heather Avila, Paul Guerrero, Jaden Gallegos, Eleazar Guerrero, Damian Avila, Bryana Avila, Tori Alamos, Zachary Maldonado and Brittany Green; three great grandchildren Kaysen, Kameron and Kinsley Green; two brothers Joe Torres of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Bruno Torres and his wife Juanita of El Paso, Texas.

Gregoria is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ramon Avila, and a sister Ofelia Sepeda.
