Gregory (Greg) Combs, 77, of Kyle, Texas, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020. He died in peace, with his son Greg, Jr., at his side.

Greg was born in 1943, in Burbank, California, to the late Leslie and Ann Combs. In 1949, the family moved to Hereford, Texas. He graduated from Hereford High School in 1961. He loved athletics, and excelled in high school baseball and basketball. He was a big fan of the Texas Rangers. Greg graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Business. He was in the U.S. Army and followed basic training by serving in the Texas National Guard Reserves. Greg's successful career in sales took off in Dallas, Texas, where he served as a regional and national sales representative for several large companies, including American Optical and Profax-Lenco. He was a salesman through and through, and could sell anything to anyone whether they knew they needed it or not.

He loved to travel, especially road trips, including numerous trips to Las Vegas, where he was known to "let it ride". He loved playing golf and fishing, and was a voracious reader with a keen interest and knowledge of history.

Greg is survived by his son Greg, Jr. (Brandi) Combs, of Kyle, Texas, two grandchildren, Annabelle and River; brothers, Richard (Sue) Combs of Austin, Texas, and Brent (Mary Jo) Combs of Dallas, Texas.

The family would like to thank Hospice Austin for the care and support they provided.

Graveside services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 10:30 AM at Rest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Hereford, Texas with Pastor Chris Flickinger officiating.
